‘Angry Birds’: From game to TV show

No, these angry birds are not the thousands falling out of the sky across the world. “Angry Birds” is a game that challenges you to launch birds at the pesky pigs that have stolen their eggs.

Since its initial release on the Apple iOS platform in December 2009, “Angry Birds” has sold over 50 million copies over various platforms.

These birds are far from finished with their flight. Rovio Mobile, the company behind it all, has already released a line of plush toys and iPhone covers inspired by the game. A board game version is set for release by Mattel in May. Mikael Hed, CEO of Rovio also said that an animated series is in the works. Are these birds taking it too far?
