Shoals spirits come alive during ghost walk

Author of the “True Ghost Stories of the Shoals” series Debra Glass has been conducting the Haunted History of the Shoals Ghost Walk since 2002.

“After writing my first collection of Shoals area ghost stories, I realized many of the locations were close enough in downtown Florence that it would make a great ghost walk similar to ones I’d been on in Charleston and New Orleans,” Glass said. “I was a history major at UNA and loved researching the legends and lore of my hometown. In the past couple of years, we’ve branched into offering trolley tours, and also a walk in Sheffield, which is conducted by Keith Sims.”
