Chick-fil-A adds ice cream to their menu

Students have a new opportunity beginning Nov. 4 to satisfy their sweet tooth with the newest addition to the Chick-fil-A line up: ice cream products.

Milkshakes will come in chocolate, strawberry, vanilla and Oreo. They also have vanilla ice cream cones and frosted lemonades.

Large milkshakes and frosted lemonades are $3.49, and small shakes are $3.09. Large cones are $1.69, and small cones are $1.29.

Freshman Noah Williams said that he thinks the new milkshakes will be a great addition to the dining options available at UNA.

“There’s not really any other place here where you can get milkshakes,” Williams said. “Chick-fil-A is really the only option.”

This project has been in the works since Chartwells took over UNA Dining, said Chick-fil-A Team Lead Douglass Orr.

Chick-fil-a has been preparing for this addition for about three months, but it took them a while to get the right machine in, Orr said.

Sophomore Charles Harvelle said he is most excited about the addition of soft serve ice cream after soft serve was taken out of the campus dining hall.

“If they have soft serve, then I am a happy man,” Harvelle said.

Orr said he hopes the new milkshakes will help boost business by being an easy place for students to get a sweet treat in between class.
