Course waitlisting comes to campus

The Office of the Registrar now offers course waitlisting for the upcoming fall semester and future semesters.

“This new feature will allow you to join a waiting list for a class that is full,” said University Registrar Cassie Morgan. “Once a seat becomes available, (an) automatic notification will be sent to your UNA Portal email account, notifying you to register.”

To be put on a waiting list, students will follow the same procedure as if they were registering for a normal class–by entering the CRN into the Add Classes Worksheet on Portal.

Students will have 24 hours to register once they have been notified.

This new feature will allow order, Morgan said.

“It helps in a couple of ways,” Morgan said. “Students no longer just have to wait until midnight and hope that they’re the first one to add the course. And then also administrators know which classes are in high demand, and they’re able to offer multiple sections of that course.”
