Alpha Tau Omega claims victory at Step Sing 2016

UNA students and faculty packed Norton Auditorium Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. for Step Sing 2016.

Eight groups competed this year. The event raises money for United Way, a humanitarian nonprofit organization.

The overall winner of Step Sing 2016 was Alpha Tau Omega with their performance of Justin Timberlake hits, titled “#JTΩ.”

Alpha Tau Omega also won first place in the men’s group, followed by Kappa Sigma in second place with their performance of Kanye West hits.

​First place for the women’s group was Alpha Gamma Delta for their performance of Britney Spears hits titled “Britney Kitts,” followed by Phi Mu in second place for performance of Miley Cyrus hits.

The co-ed winner was the Honors Student Organization with their performance of Taylor Swift hits titled “Party Like It’s 1989.”

Raising over $1,019.81 for United Way, Zeta Tau Alpha took the People’s Choice Award with their performance of Michael Jackson hits titled “King of Pop.”

The theme for Step Sing 2017 is Famous Rivals.
