UNA President Kenneth Kitts sits waits for the annual board of trustees meeting to begin June 8. The board of trustees approved an undergraduate tuition increase of $10 per credit hour and a graduate tuition increase of $12 per credit hour at the June 8 meeting.

The UNA Board of Trustees approved the undergraduate tuition increase of $10 per credit hour and graduate tuition increase of $12 per credit hour during the annual board of trustees meeting June 8.

The rate of undergraduate and graduate tuition for Fall 2015 will be $254 and $299 per credit hour respectively.

“What stopped my tossing and turning last night about this tuition increase is the fact that a big part of this increase will go toward creating more scholarships,” said President Pro-Tempore of the board of trustees Marty Abroms.

Vice President for Business and Financial Affairs Clinton Carter said 60 percent of the money generated from this tuition increase will go toward creating scholarships for incoming students.

Abroms said this is the lowest tuition increase since 2008.
