UNA SGA candidates debate, seek student votes

Current SGA President KeKoria Greer speaks during a town-hall style debate help March 3 in the GUC Loft. Candidates introduced themselves and explained why students should vote for them.

SGA elections are set to happen this week and to help students make informed decisions at the polls, the organization held debates last week.

Meet the Candidates, an event where SGA leadership candidates answered student questions, filled the GUC Loft with students March 4.

The event, which lasted just over two hours, featured the candidates being asked relatively the same questions about their qualifications, their goals if elected and what they could offer the students if elected to their respective positions.

Voting polls open March 9 at 8 a.m. and close March 11 at 6 p.m. Students can vote using their Portal login at una.edu/sga. SGA will also have polling stations available in the GUC from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. all three days.
