Senate is seeking drivers to help raise funds for scholarship

SGA Treasurer Adam McCollum speaks at a meeting. Part of McCollum’s job is planning fundraisers to benefit the organization’s endowed scholarship.

SGA Senate will host Drive for the Pride, a fundraiser to benefit the SGA endowed scholarship, Oct. 25.

Treasurer Adam McCollum said Long Lewis Ford of Muscle Shoals will be at on campus offering test drives of their Lincoln car line.

For every test drive, Long Lewis will donate $20 to the scholarship fund, up to $6,000.

“It is a very unique fundraiser that will get student proactive in raising money for the endowed scholarship fund,” said senator. Nicole Gallups.

McCollum said participants can test drive multiple cars but the company will only donate once per, and drivers must be 18 or older.
