To Whom It May Concern:
On Saturday and Sunday, September 20-21, 2014, we are holding the second annual popular arts convention at The Geek Gathering, in a goal to bring enlightenment to and broaden the appreciation for Comic, Fantasy, Horror, Sci-Fi, Gaming, Anime, and other Pop Culture areas. The convention will be held in Sheffield, Alabama, at the Mike Johnson Rec Center. We’re ready to bring the CON experience to YOU!
Proceeds from various portions of this event will be given directly to Big Brothers Big Sisters, such as a portion of the ticket sales, 100% of all donations, and 100% of the GAuction (Geek Auction) that will be held at the event.

Saturday, September 20 (10am-5pm) – Sunday, September 21 (12noon-5pm), 2014
Sheffield Rec Center, 2901 E. 19th Ave., Sheffield, Alabama
Adult Admission: Advanced Prices – $6/day OR $9/weekend pass, At Door – $8/day OR $11/weekend pass
Children 12 & under: $1/day with a paying adult.
Events include: FREE kid AND adult costume contests with prizes, panels for all genres, artists’ alley, gaming, over 110 vendors, Geek Trivia ($5 entry fee & winner takes all), games, specials guests from “The Walking Dead,” “King of the Nerds” and other productions, autographs, cosplay and MORE!!!
