This sundial recognizes the contributions by the Joe Keenum Excavation and Construction Company to UNA. It is a visual symbol of the time and quality of work the company owned by Joe Keenum and Billy N. Mitchell performed above and below ground for the pedestrian walkway projects, Laura M. Harrison Plaza and Harrison Entrance, which have transformed the campus of the university.
