UNA women’s head basketball coach Terry Fowler may be leaving the Lions to be the women’s head basketball coach at South Alabama, according to a report from AL.com.

Despite the report, UNA athletics director Mark Linder said he does not know if the rumors are true. 

“I do not have a letter of resignation yet (from Fowler),” Linder said.

Linder said he has seen the reports that Fowler is leaving UNA for South Alabama, but could not confirm nor deny the rumors of Fowler’s resignation. 

After repeated attempts to obtain comment from Fowler, he could not be reached by phone Monday afternoon.

South Alabama is expected to release a press release later today, according to reports on AL.com.
