Police investigate overnight alleged rape in residence hall

University Police are investigating an alleged rape that reportedly occurred in Rivers Hall late last night, according to campus alerts.

The alleged rape occurred on the sixth floor of Rivers Hall and was reported to police at approximately 6:30 a.m., according to communications from the UNA police department.

“There is no need for alarm, as the campus is not under any immediate threat,” according to campus alerts sent out by UNA police. “This incident involved non-consensual sex between suspects known to the victim. All parties are currently known to the police and have been or are being questioned and/or are in custody.”
