The Florence Police Department is currently looking into an armed robbery that allegedly occurred around 1:30 a.m., according to Lion Alerts sent out by the university.

Two black males, wearing dark clothes and ski masks, were carrying handguns and allegedly attempted to rob someone near Nellie and Hermitage Drive, according to Lion Alerts.

Lion Alerts from the university urged students and community members to be alert, travel in groups and notify police if they see anything suspicious.
