University to celebrate Constitution Day with political science speaker

The UNA Department of History and Political Science will host its annual Constitution Day Celebration Sept. 17.

Federal law mandates that all publicly-funded institutions provide programming on that day addressing the history of the American constitution.

UNA’s event will feature Christopher Maynard, speaker and UNA history and political science department chair. The topic of the program will be “The Vanishing Young Voter.”

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. in room 104 of Raburn Hall Sept. 17 and is open to the UNA community.
