UNA finds its next head football coach
January 2, 2012
This Tuesday, just 11 days after the departure of former Head Coach Terry Bowden, UNA will name Bobby Wallace as its new head football coach.
Wallace will be formally introduced tomorrow at 5 p.m. in the UNA Performance Center. Wallace served as head coach for UNA from 1988-1997 with an 82-36-1 record, including three straight Division II national championships.
Following his 10 years at UNA, Wallace coached at the University of Temple and recently at the University of West Alabama before retiring in 2010. With a chance to finish his coaching career, Wallace will have his work cut out for him in continuing where Bowden left off and preparing for the move to Division I.
Stay with The Flor-Ala for further updates on UNA’s new head coach.
