Football, soccer teams get national recognition

The Lions football and soccer teams recently got national recognition with top 25 rankings for their efforts on the field.
The Lions football team moved up one slot to No. 5 in the latest American Football Coaches Association NCAA Division II poll for their victory against Central Oklahoma last weekend. The team is scheduled to play Glenville State Saturday at Braly Stadium with kick-off starting at 6 p.m.
The soccer team matched their highest ranking in school history with a No. 18 ranking in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll. The team is off to a 3-0 start this season and is scheduled to play Friday at 5 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. with both games in Memphis, Tenn.
