Construction on the University of North Alabama’s new multi-purpose stadium is set to break ground this Friday at 4:30 p.m. at the Bill Jones Athletic Complex.
According to the university, the Groundbreaking and First Look Experience to Bank Independent Stadium is open to all at no charge. The tentative timeline of construction by the university places the stadium to be used in the 2026-27 football season. Construction of the stadium now comes to fruition, “after more than 50 years of planning, hoping, and dreaming.” the university said
