The Center for Women’s Studies hosted a table in the GUC on Aug. 26 to celebrate Women’s Equality Day.
The table featured buttons, bracelets, postcards and more to spread the word and celebrate women all over the world. They also featured Information about the women’s studies minor and the history of Women’s Equality Day and the ratification of the 19th Amendment.
The center also sponsors a feminist affinity group, a space for like-minded individuals to participate in activities and connect.
“We are trying to give out information for folks about Women’s Equality Day and encouraging people to vote,” said Dr. Andrea Hunt, Executive Director of the Mitchell-West Center for Social Inclusion.
Hunt says those interested can find more information on social media and visit their office, which is located on the first floor of Rice Hall.
