JACKSON, TN — Muscle Shoals man was arrested during a two-day undercover operation as a part of a human trafficking investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation beginning on Aug. 29.
Jabbar Franklin, 31, was arrested among 8 others and charged with Trafficking for a Commercial Sex Act, according to the TBI.
The TBI’s undercover operation by the TBI Human Trafficking Unit, the Tennessee Human Trafficking Task Force, Jackson Police Department, and more resulted in felony arrest, according to a statement from TBI.
“Officers placed several decoy advertisements on websites known to be linked to prostitution and commercial sex,” the statement said. “The focus of the operation was to identify individuals seeking to engage in commercial sex acts with minors.”
Franklin was charged and booked into the Madison County Jail with a $25,000 bond.
