Preliminary enrollment numbers show that UNA’s anticipated headcount is 10,600 students this semester, said UNA in a statement. The final number is expected in October.
“It is noteworthy that more and more students are choosing and staying at UNA, whether online or on-campus, for their academic journey,” said Dr. Ken Kitts, UNA’s President, in a statement.
Undergraduate students enrolled have increased by ten percent from last Fall, and the Cole Honors College makes up about 15 percent of the undergraduate students in the Honors College, the statement said.
“Our 2024-2025 recruiting cycle in the Cole Honors College exceeded our original expectation,” said Dr. Vince Brewton, Honors College Dean. “Applications surged in the spring, and our freshman class is easily a record at 251 new students, while total enrollment in the Honors College stands at 954.
Julie Taylor, Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management, said that UNA attracts students who want a traditional experience while also needing flexibility.
