All the Best hosted its third annual block party for the anniversary of its opening on Sep. 21 in downtown Florence.
The event was open to the public and had events for all to enjoy. There were activities for children- like face painting and balloon animals, live music, food trucks and vendors. The event’s atmosphere was lively.
The vendors at the block party were businesses local to the Florence area and mainly located near All the Best. Along with the event being to celebrate the anniversary of All the Best, it was also to showcase their neighborhood businesses.
One of their sponsors, Gunrunner Medical Spa, expressed that they were thankful for this opportunity from All the Best. The spa said that events like these are important for our community to help bring everyone together to simply have fun. They said that they enjoy sponsoring this event every year because it invites so many different people all together for one event.
This party helps show off business from our area and helps everyone support one another. When speaking with the vendors from the huge merchandise booth held for all of the vendors and musicians performing, Wanda Wesoloski, the lead singer of “The Wanda Band,” expressed that events like this one show that the Florence area is welcoming and we should know each other and help each other out as a community.
She said, “ Florence is welcoming to everyone and always has more room to grow”.
The atmosphere created with the live music was energetic and enjoyable for attendees. All the Best gave a stage for local artists and bands to perform and for them to be able to reach more people. The bands that were there, Player’s Club, Ouro Boar, and Jesse Rawlison, engaged with the audience. The bands could be heard streets away and brought more people to the event. They were an accompaniment to some of the activities that were offered at this event, like the morning street yoga offered by Yoga House Florence.
Attendees said that they love the welcoming environment of All the Best. People love to come by to relax or shop.
“[All the Best] is a great spot for UNA students to come by after classes or to hangout, they have affordable snacks, and good coffee for studying,” Wesoloski said.
The block party and included activities were free for all, except for vendors, food and drinks. Some of the vendors also offered free samples and Rocker Gallery was giving away free “Love is the Law” prints that customers got to help make. Events, such as this one, can foster a sense of community in Florence.
