The Pumpkin Bash 2024, on Oct. 30, was a friendly and fun event hosted by the UNA Sanders College of Business and Technology Ambassadors. It was a relaxing event to help end the spooky Halloween season.
The event was held on the Keller Lawn and provided students with the tools needed to carve pumpkins. Ambassadors partnered with local farms to give those attending a chance to pick their pumpkins. Provided also are decorative elements such as lights to go inside the pumpkin. Sanders COBT ambassadors also gave out free candy and tee-shirts to those who attended.
For the past three years, Sanders COBT ambassadors have made the Pumpkin Bash a UNA tradition. Each semester Sanders COBT puts on an event for the students, with their spring event usually being international game night.
“We have candy, drinks and stuff like that,” said Madison Prince “We let people sit out here for a couple of hours to hang out and carve pumpkins.”
Even though the event was held on campus it was open to any who wanted to attend. Many professors even brought their own families to carve pumpkins.
“It was our first time carving pumpkins,” said Koko and Miu, two international students from Japan. “It was very fun.”
The 2024 Pumpkin Bash was great fun and the Sanders Cobt hopes to see more students there next fall.
