A suspect in the murder of Nathan Littleton, 28, in Tuscumbia in early October was charged with murder on Nov. 14.
DeKoven Williams, 27, was arrested on Oct. 8, shortly after Littleton’s murder.
Sources say that Williams has claimed he acted in self-defense, and that he claims Littleton was trying to rob him when the incident occurred.
Littleton was shot and killed late on Oct. 6 in a building on Paul E. Johnson Memorial Drive in Tuscumbia, Ala. The Tuscumbia Police Department originally investigated the case as a death, and not a homicide, before they received an autopsy report from the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.
