October 19, 2016
Assistant Professor of Film and Digital Media Production Jason Flynn died Oct. 18, said Department Chair for Communications Butler Cain.
Flynn’s funeral will be at Trinity Episcopal Church Saturday Oct. 22 at 11 a.m. There will be a private burial following the service and a reception in Parish Hall.
The Department of Communications will host a public memorial event for Flynn Oct. 27 at 4 p.m. in the Communications Building, Cain said in an email.
“Earning a ‘good job,’ or ‘nice work’ from (Flynn) was one of the best feelings in the world,” said UNA graduate Andrew Baker. “(He) built me from the ground up into the photojournalist I am today. I’m thankful for all of (his) advice, not only in school but my professional journey.”
