Festival brings history to Shoals
October 31, 2013
The Shoals hosted the 27th annual Alabama Renaissance Faire on Oct. 26 and 27. The Renaissance took place in Europe between the 14th and 17th centuries. I got a lot of interesting photos while I was attending the Renaissance Faire festival. People were dressed in traditional Renaissance-era clothing, and I saw many cute dogs dressed up, too. I found that some people who dress up not only have the accent but also are very talented at drama. Most of the people there were good at singing songs and performing dramas.
Also, some people sold European clothes at the Renaissance Faire. Some people drew architectural pictures on the grassland. The most interesting part of the Renaissance Faire is the people who dressed up and took part in the fencing competition.
The Renaissance Faire has something for everyone. I learned a lot, and I wish could attend other festivals like this in the future.
