Cale: SACS visit went well
March 4, 2012
After spending three days assessing the university, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges committee met with the UNA SACS Leadership Team to discuss potential recommendations or remaining concerns. The committee, however, gave the university a perfect review, with no recommendations or need for a follow-up report later in the year.
A perfect review is extremely rare, according to UNA President Bill Cale. During the past four years, UNA is only the third school to receive a perfect outcome, which amounts to around two percent of schools overall, he said.
“I was extremely confident that we would have a good review,” Cale said. “I thought we might have one or two recommendations to follow up on, but I was pleased that we have none.”
