Voter registration drive to be held in GUC

The College Republicans will host a month-long campaign to encourage voter registration for the presidential primary elections this fall. This will take place at the GUC Mondays through Wednesdays for the next month starting Feb. 15.

Students who come to register will only need to bring their driver’s licenses and provide information such as mailing address, phone number and Social Security number.

SGA Vice President Emily McCann, who leads this campaign, reminds students of the importance of taking part in voting as a responsibility to the nation.

“It’s not just important for students, but for every citizen who is 18 and above,” McCann said. “We are about to vote for a leader who will best represent us as a nation, so I think that everyone should come out to vote.”
