SGA candidates prepare for 2018-19 elections

Polls for the next Student Government Association elections are opening soon, and with them comes a list of candidates for students to choose from.

 The following candidates are running for the respective positions:

  • President: sophomore Chase Holcombe, current SGA Chief of Staff, and sophomore Jessie Harbuck, current SGA secretary
  • Senate Vice President: junior Blake Polson, current Senate Pro-Tempore, and junior Senate member Cody Titus
  • University Program Council Vice President: junior Becca Bush, current UPC Pro-Tempore

Voting will occur during Feb. 19-21. To vote online, visit and click on the lion graphic.

A special election will be held for SGA treasurer and secretary.

The candidates will host a meet and greet Feb. 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Guillot University Center.

A debate will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. in the GUC Performance Center.
