Students enjoy Snow Ball formal

The University Program Council invited students to have a ball at the Snow Ball Formal in the GUC Performance Center Feb. 25. from 7-10 p.m.

The formal is the end to Snow Daze, a series of events UPC organized to provide fun activities for students during January and February.

Senior and former Miss UNA Rachel Wammack and senior DJ C. Battle provided the evening’s entertainment.

Sophomore Rosie McClendon and freshman Nikki Mathews said they are fans of Rachel Wammack’s music and came to the event to hear her perform.

Many students are happy to have the opportunity to attend a formal outside of Greek life, said Snow Ball committee member and junior Kisha Spearman in a previous article.

“It’s the closest thing to prom for a college student,” said senior Robert Bellamy.

Junior Staci Gordon said she attended the Snow Ball Formal to take a break from homework and have fun for the night.

“I’m a nursing major at UNA, and it’s rare that I get to get out and do stuff,” Gordon said.

Freshman Katelyn Walton said she attended the formal for free food.

“I figured I would come over, see what it was like and have a good time,” said senior Joseph Marinello.
