Students find relaxation, enjoyment through Outdoor Adventure Center

The Outdoor Adventure Center fosters a way to enjoy the outdoors and relax from schoolwork by providing an array of equipment, free for students to rent.

Located across from Norton Auditorium on W. Irvine Street, the OAC has everything from camping and hiking gear to kayaking and scuba diving equipment.

“We have everything you need for your basic camping trips,” said Outdoor Adventures and Special Events Coordinator McKenzie Martin. “This includes hammocks, disc golf discs, tents and many more (items).”

The OAC provides weekly clinics for students to learn camping skills such as kayaking, cooking and packing a backpack, Martin said.

“College is about getting out and finding your niche,” said OAC President Austin Fuller. “And the OAC is great place to do that at.”
