Author Rick Bragg speaks in Norton

Renowned author Rick Bragg spoke at UNA’s Norton Auditorium today at 10 a.m.

The lecture began after a short introduction by President Bill Cale and a video about how Bragg began writing his book “All Over But the Shoutin’.”

“He was really funny and really Southern,” said Jennifer Richardson, UNA student. “I assumed he’d be really stuck up since he’s this big author. Writing books hasn’t changed him.”

Bragg spoke on many topics, ranging from his novels to kidney stones and Southern accents.

Bragg will be speaking again in Norton Auditorium at 7 p.m. with no admission charge.
