Jaizon Coffee opened its doors on Jan. 9 and has already received an astounding amount of positive feedback.
The 3,200 square-foot finished product cost around $800,000 to transform the previous three laundromats and refurnish it into one cozy space. With a unique cultural background and menu items, they have proved to be a distinguished downtown shop, standing at five stars amidst over 60 online reviewers.
One Google review reads, “There is nothing like this place in Florence. It truly stands out– fresh, bold and not something your eyes get tired of like typical coffee shops.”
Founded in 2023, the name pays homage to the Jazan region in Saudi Arabia. It has produced the finest organic Arabica beans for centuries as a result of their traditional farming practices and unique microclimate.
To compliment their variety of coffee, they offer more traditional drinks with refreshers, tea, hot chocolate, hand-crafted cakes and savory bites.

Alexis Copeland, a barista and social media manager for the shop, described what menu item she encourages loyal customers and newcomers to try at least once.
“I would say the Persian latte. It’s got honey, cinnamon, cane sugar and saffron spices which is the cherry on top– it has a unique taste to it.”
Copeland and the team understand that traditional items on the menu may look puzzling to some. She reassures those intrigued to explore new flavors.
“A lot of the traditional drinks have names that no one’s going to know off the bat,” said Copeland. “We’re always open to answer any questions about the menu and can explain them to anyone who asks.”
