Food truck serves campus

Chartwells, UNA’s new food service provider, arranged for Firetruck Bar-B-Que to be in front of The Commons Monday, May 23, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The food truck will provide breakfast, lunch and dinner options since all other campus restaurants are closed, and they accept debit and credit cards.

Chick-fil-a and Starbucks temporarily closed May 18, said Assistant Vice President of Business Services Cindy Conlon.

“It’s a part of the transition moving from the previous provider, contractor if you will, Sodexo, to Chartwells,” Conlon said.

Chick-fil-a and Starbucks will be open again Tuesday, May 31, said Chartwells District Manager Michael Bennett.

The Guillot University Center, WoW and Towers will all undergo construction this summer, and the new restaurants should open when classes resume, Bennett said.

“It coincides with the academic calendar, when students come back to campus,” Bennett said.

Students and faculty on campus can expect food options from Odette Tuesday, May 24.
