UNA receives second highest CPA exam pass rate in Alabama

The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) recently released a report on 2011 scores for the Certified Public Accountancy exam that indicated UNA has the second highest passing rate of all Alabama schools.

UNA received a 57.1 percent passing rate—higher than the state average of 42 percent and the 44 percent national average.

The exam assesses students’ skills in professional accounting knowledge, problem-solving and analytical skills.

In 2011, UNA had 28 students sit for a total of 63 parts. Each student has completed a minimum of 150 hours of coursework and have recieved an accounting degree from UNA.
