To start this off, I love RuPaul. RuPaul is a global superstar with 29 different Drag Race franchises around the world. He has earned 14 whole Emmy Awards. I’d heard of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” for a while before I actually started to watch it, but when I finally got around to it, I fell in love. Every single season is beautiful. It only took me about 3 weeks to watch all 14 seasons (about 15-ish episodes apiece).
So if you’re looking for a TV reality show to binge, I’d definitely recommend this one. With every season there are so many new drag queens to fall in love with. RuPaul gives drag queens a stage to show off each of their styles of creativity. There are pageant queens, camp queens, spooky queens, basically a queen for any kind of person to fall in love with. RuPaul has pushed for drag so much in this world and has 100% earned his fame. RuPaul also stars and guest stars in MANY movies and series. He is in Zombies 3, two of the Brady Bunch movies, an episode of Bubble Guppies, and my friend Courtney’s favorite movie…Trolls 3. Every time I watch a movie and there is an unexpected RuPaul cameo, I start jumping for joy and start clapping my hands together like a seal (VERY exaggerated).
Anyway, I am so very grateful to be born in the same lifetime as RuPaul because he teaches me life lessons that I don’t know who else I would learn from. RuPaul teaches everyone how to love who they are and to embrace it. He lives by the rules of serving charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent and I think everyone should live by them too. As RuPaul says at the end of every single one of his episodes, “If you can’t love yourself, how in the hell are you going to love someone else?”. RuPaul even taught me how to parallel park like last week. By the way, if you guys haven’t seen RuPaul’s TikTok..you need to check that out too. Watching RuPaul’s Tiktok is like my sweet treat at the end of a long day. Let’s also talk about RuPaul’s beautiful, amazing music career…I mean what can’t RuPaul do? Now personally, my favorite song is “Kitty Girl,” more specifically the All Stars 3 remix. A little underground if you ask me. If there was a RuPaul karaoke, I would know every single song by heart, trust. His music is so silly, but also very catchy. I don’t know how he does it.
I recently heard a rumor that RuPaul is quitting drag and giving the rights away to Michelle Visage and I think that if that happens I will go crazy. I mean, yes, I know RuPaul will not be doing drag and performing forever, but still. I am happy though that throughout time his legacy will be carried on and will forever be known as an icon. RuPaul is truly the Queen of Drag and is my favorite celebrity of all time, obviously, and I hope you guys can also share the love for RuPaul.
