Soccer Head Coach Chris Walker is on track to obtain his 100th career win on Thursday, Sep. 4. The Lions will face the Alabama State University Hornets.
Walker is the program’s fourth head coach and has been with them since 2013, making him the longest tenured coach in the soccer program.
Before the 2025 season started, he boasted a 97-96-24 record during his twelve years coaching the Lady Lions. Walker is now on track to secure his 100th win at home after a two-game winning streak against Troy and Southeast Missouri State.
Walker has held a 53-38-9 record at home and a 57-57-12 record in conference play. With such an impressive record, fans are hopeful to see Walker get his 100th victory at Cox Creek Park.
He led the Lady Lions to the program’s first-ever Division I conference championship in the Atlantic Sun in 2018 and followed that up with another appearance in 2023. At the Division II level, Walker was voted Gulf South Conference Coach of the Year in 2014.
UNA history might be witnessed on the night of Sep. 4 as the soccer team matches up against the Hornets at Cox Creek Park at 7 p.m.
