The University of North Alabama’s School of the Arts (SOTA) will host “Chalk It Up” on Aug. 26 and 27 at Norton Patio, located in front of Norton Auditorium. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on both days.
“Chalk It Up” is free and welcomes all UNA students and staff. The event offers attendees the chance to take a “fun and relaxing break” in between classes. Additionally, attendees are encouraged to connect with other students and staff.
SOTA hosts encourage attendees to “just bring your imagination” since all supplies will be provided. With an abundance of chalk, attendees are free to express themselves with “bold and colorful designs.”
Various snacks will also be available for students and staff during the event.
Attendees will also be given the opportunity to design chalkboard ornaments, which they can take home to celebrate the beginning of the fall 2025 semester.
“Chalk It Up” is one of many events hosted by SOTA during Mane Month.
Mane Month takes place during the first month of the fall semester. It is a long-held tradition at UNA that features a number of activities to help students adjust to life on campus.
