An obvious choice for those who like a good adrenaline-pumping scare, Arx Mortis is one of the best haunted attractions in the country — and that’s not just my opinion. USA Today ranked Arx Mortis one of the top 10 in 2014, and after visiting them Sept. 24, I completely understand why.

With at least 30 minutes of pure anticipation and a multitude of scenes for spooks, Arx Mortis kept me on my toes and scared me more than a night in with scary movies would. Plus, there is a bit of consolation knowing the actors cannot touch me.
