The Civil Wars announced Nov. 6 via their website and social media that they are cancelling all tour dates until further notice.

“We sincerely apologize for the canceling of all of our tour dates. It is something we deeply regret,” the duo said via Twitter. “We thank each and every one of you for your amazing love & support.”

The duo claimed “internal discord and irreconcilable differences of ambition” as their reason for a temporary hiatus.

Their Facebook page explains to their fans stuck with concert tickets and other costs related to their hiatus that they can be reimbursed by emailing the band at [email protected], along with a scanned copy of their receipts related to their cancellations, if they are non-refundable expenses.

The duo doesn’t give any indication as to when they will get back together or if they will get back together at all, according to their Facebook page.

“Our sincere hope is to have new music for you in 2013,” the duo said online.

The band released their full-length album, “Barton Hallow” in 2011, which won two GRAMMYS in the Best Folk Album and Best Country Duo/Group Performance categories.

They performed at UNA Oct. 1 to a sold out audience in Norton Auditorium.

UNA announced at this concert the John Paul White Scholarship for the entertainment industry department.
