Four members of The Flor-Ala staff received awards at the Southeast Journalism Conference in Martin, Tenn. last week.

Executive Editor Lucy Berry was awarded first place in the Best of the South competition in the Special Events Reporter/Editor category.

Other winners included Online Editor Jordan Bradley, who received second place in the media history on-site competition, Chief Photographer Malisa McClure, who took third place in the photography competition and Copy/Opinions Editor Alex Lindley, who was awarded first place in the copy editing competition.
